Was at work and this popped in my head. Thoughts?

Monte Morris - CP3 - Known for assists, but can score and defend
BDJ- Kobe - Athletic 2, volume scorer (and maybe more that that if he plays like he has in the last 2 games)
Naz Long - Not really sure, maybe JJ Reddick?
Matt Thomas - ?
Georges Niang - Tim Duncan - Good fundamentals, not known for athleticism (obviously a few inches shorter but w/e)
Edozie - Short Deandre Jordan?
Hogue- Kawhi Leonard - Good defense, decent offense

Haven't seen McKay play Hoiball yet but I was thinking Faried, just like Fran Fraschilla was.

Nt sure about Nader since there are hardly any vids of him

Niang = Boris Diaw - Not the most athletic, but very crafty with a high basketball IQ. Can do a bit of everything.
Morris = CP3, John Stockton, Kirk Hinrich, or any other ball control, pass first point guard that can also score/shoot/defend as needed.
Naz Long = Robert Horry - clutch 3 point shooter.

Still trying to figure out who BDJ reminds me of...

Alright I'll play...

Monte Morris - Mike Conley
BDJ - Paul Pierce
Naz Long - George Hill
Matt Thomas - JJ Reddick
Georges Niang - Boris Diaw
Edozie - Kendrick Perkins
Hogue - Jimmy Butler
Abdel Nader - Incomplete until we get to see him in Fred's system tomorrow.
McKay - Kenneth Faried

Know we're not typically allowed to compare black and white players but Monte's skill set reminds me of John Stockton in terms of size, handle, harassing on-ball D, pull up J. Obligatory 'not that he's a hall of famed already or anything'.

Monte= CP3
BDJ= Kevin Durant (Shorter, but very lanky and can drive or shoot very well just like KD)
Georges Niang= Kevin Love
Dustin Hogue= Birdman? (can't create his own shot well, but is there for energy and can finish when needed)
Naz Long= Ray Allen

Mckay=Dwight Howard (Obviously much smaller, but both are examples of true centers at their level)
Matt Thomas=Robbie Hummel

I generally hate player comps; I'll say that off the bat. It's hard to find decent comparisons, and even when you can, it just doesn't provide much value. So a lot of comparisons you see are lazy, or just bad (see above). But I watch a ton of NBA games, and using the help of the utterly awesome basketball-reference player index, here's what I came up with:

Late career Paul Pierce and Niang have a decent amount of similarities.

I think Monte's closest comp, based on what we've seen so far, is Derek Fisher.

And I can see some Amir Johnson in Dustin Hogue. (Amir Johnson is awesome, by the way, for those of you who don't watch too many Raptors games.)

Exactly who I had in mind for him
