My problem/concern

If we are talented enough and are coached well enough to have a 4-6 point lead after 37-38 minutes in games, why aren't we talented enough and coached well enough to finish? Talent, the roster, etc. really shouldn't be the problem there.

Do we change what we do offensively down the stretch? Defensively? What is it? It may be a mentality that our players have, but even that should only be good for a few losses down the stretch. It seems like we lose every single time in crunch time...which has to have SOME degree of bad luck too, right?

I do not know what the problem is down the stretch but the tired leg thing is getting old. DG is a 4 yr starter, JVB a 5th yr Sr, Jake a 1000 pt scorer, SC a redshirt Jr. This is a lot a maturity. Unfortuntely they play like 1 and 2 year players down strech and combining this with an inexperienced coach has led what could be a 4-3 conf record to 1-6 and not many wins look to be coming in future.

I guess all I'm saying is...I hope we are in some more tight games yet this year that we close out and win. That would change my attitude 180 degrees going into next year. I'd be MUCH more confident, rather than cautious.

The inability to close games out is frustrating, and we need to learn how, but ....
it's our defense that's the problem, plus bricking way too many 3's.

OSU, TT, and OU all looked like the Lakers against us. Those are three pathetic offensive teams, and somehow guys are coming in and getting career highs against us.

Still, we hit 1 more 3 against OSU and OU in regulation and both those games are W's.

Nebraska, too, at least as far as hitting one more 3 winning the game.
