After seeing that my Raiders are wanting to release Hall, I think it's about time to start a protest to get Al D out.... We are officially the most inept, stupid, and unorganized team in the NFL.... I'm disgusted

Fortunately for the rest of the league, there is pretty much no way to get rid of him. He can hold his icy death grip around that organization until he's in the grave..and maybe beyond...and the only thing that could stop that is for people to stop being fans of the team.

just to rub salt in the wound I am totally picking up the Carolina DST for my fantasy team this week....

It's not normal to invest a second round pick in someone and then release him half a season later?

It's like the office Christmas party. As long as you aren't the drunkest one there, you are cool. Now that Matt Millen is gone, it looks like Al's the drunk one.

I think it's been official for quite some time.

I think it's been official for quite some time.

It's been that way at least since his handling of Shannahan. Yeah, he's been to the Super Bowl since, but the AFC was pretty inept that year - and he got beat by yet another coach he drove out of the head spot (Gruden).

This my friends is why you don't give players huge contracts...if they bust then you feel it a lot worse. He was good in Atlanta because he was the only one. Once he was paired with another good CB then he was exposed and it turns out he isn't as great as expected. Good for the Falcons for getting rid of him.

It is a good thing that the NFL doesn't have full guaranteed contracts...there might be quite a few Mike Hamptons in the league if they did.

Thats exactly what i did. Just couldn't not pick them up. I picked up Atlanta's defense last week when they played the raiders and they got me a lot of points!

I did similar for this week against Oakland. I love defenses that play Oakland and Detroit.

Maybe Deangelo will end up in Big D, they need help at corner!!!!!

With all fairness, these types of major shifts in personnel usually are predicated upon a change in philosophy. My guess is some of these moves were requested and pushed by Lane Kiffin and the raiders are trying to take their lumps and dump players that have any ties to Kiffin. Davis is a *****, and if he feels he's been made to look like the fool, he's going to change that for sure....Kiffin made him look foolish.

This is what happens when you don't have a person in charge of player personnel, Al Davis is not and never has been a good judge of talent, he made his money in another field of expertise - stick to it. Hire someone to oversee personnel, its usually worth the money, especially if he's a good one (i.e. Parcells, Johnson).
