saw Carrie Underwood was looking for them in Tennessee last week. That tells me it'll be a couple more for us yet.

Hunts morels?

Yes, please.

Need 3 straight nights where the lows stay in the 60's usually. Soil moisture is there just not the warmth. Feel free to let me know where your best spots are and I will let you know when they pop ;). The line just hit KC this week I know.

You can google "Morel Mushroom Finder" and get maps as to where others are currently finding them. Looks like a few being found the southern Iowa last couple of days.

My father was turkey hunting in the Loess Hills a couple days ago and didn't spot any.

With the warm temps and rain this week, there might be some grays popping up by the weekend, but the ground is still pretty cool so I won't be doing any serious hunting for another couple weeks.

Anyone finding any of these in Polk county or Story County?

Haven't looked yet but I doubt it. Soil temps are getting closer but we need more warmer days yet and stop getting into the 30's at night. If we get some warm weather i will be looking next weekend (Story Co).

Yeah I figured it might be a little too early, I'm headed out around Saylorville today to try to find some. Going to take a bunch of pictures of random things I find too. I will post up the pics later, wish me luck!

Going tomorrow. Southeast Iowa. Will let you know. Family has found a few.

A friend found a bunch of Greys just south of chariton today.

So I have 6 acres of timber of what the old timers tell me used to be prime ground. I have never looked, where do I look? Tips for a first timer?
