NFL: More QBs on the move?

The Broncos are reportedly looking to move up to take USC's Sanchez in the draft. Just saw the Redskins are looking at a similar move, current starter Jason Campbell stated he will demand a trade if the Redskins acquire any QB in the draft.

The Browns are also showing serious interest in Sanchez, which would put Quinn on the trading block.

The amazing thing about Campbell is how diligent he was working when the rumors about Cutler to Washington were swirling around.

Honestly I can't believe the Redskins would entertain something like this because Campbell sure as heck seems like a good NFL quarterback to me. Maybe the Redskins should consider finding a younger running back, or anothe receiver, or something not named Sanchez first.

As long as Dan Snyder owns that team they will not be a contender.

i agree. i think this could be a possible play by the broncos brass to express interest and use said interest as leverage should sanchez fall to them.

at least that's what i'm hoping.

I agree this is a dumb move for the Redskins, hopefully it leaves them in a Denver type of situation - not getting the guy they want but upsetting their current guy enough that he wants out.

Tons of these "Team X is interested in Guy Z" reports come out before the draft and much of it is garbage. But the fact Jason commented on it doesn't make it look great for him or Washington.

I don't see seattle going with a qb in rd 1 they have other needs. I think Cleveland trades either Quinn or Anderson this weekend maybe to the Jets.

Agreed. Trading a proven Pro Bowler (Cutler) to acquire the picks to allow them to trade up and draft a kid with 16 college starts would be silly.

If you just look at the "stat line" of their transactions, yes - it looks completely foolish.

But all of this wasn't the intent. They were forced into the trade (or forced themselves into it) and are then looking for a viable option at QB. I agree they may have greater needs, but I also think they're not going to put all their QB hopes on Orton.

I am getting sick of these quarterbacks (cutler, now Campbell) that think they have some privileged right to be the one and only quarterback. These guys aren't that proven and should suck it up and compete for a job, not demand a trade every time another quarterbacks name pops up.

Well that wasn't the intent. They were forced into the trade (or forced themselves into it) and are then looking for a viable option at QB. I agree they may have greater needs, but I also think they're not going to put all their QB hopes on Orton.

They weren't forced in to anything - they made their own bed, and Orton is more proven than Sanchez. Their needs are on the other side of the ball, imo.
