I was wondering when there would be some announcement of Naz and Georges playing for the Utah and Golden State affiliates, respectively. I hadn't seen anything official but now the rosters seem to be set for the G League. The Nuggets seem to have made an agreement for Monte Morris to play for the Rio Grande Vipers.

If these guys come to play in Des Moines, I hope that those of you who are local will make a good welcome for them. The G League kicks off this weekend.

Naz (stuck on a roster with ex-Jayhawk Brannen Greene and Isaiah "Technical foul for mouthing off to the ISU bench "Cousins"): https://www.slcdunk.com/2017/10/23/...ster-eric-griffin-nate-wolters-isaiah-cousins

Friday, February 23 - The Rio Grande Vipers are scheduled to play in Des Moines. We'll have to see if Monte stays with them or gets some days with the parent club in Denver.

Georges started tonight for Santa Cruz. You can follow live if you're on Facebook, through this link:

(The announcers might make your ears bleed)

Haven't been following this much. Sad to see Deonte didn't make the cut with the wolves and is playing in a Korean basketball league. WTF G league?!

Financially at least, playing in Korea is a much better deal for Deonte. $30,000 net of taxes per month in Korea vs. $26,000 for an entire six-month season in the G-League? No-brainer in that respect.

Not that money is everything, but I can’t fault him for taking that deal.

Also Asian countries in general have much better atmospheres compared to the G-League. I would think it would be much more enjoyable.

I agree in principle but I think that the G League is supposed to have better salaries this year.

I didn't realize that Monte's team was playing tonight, too. He played 28 minutes, had 5 points, 4 assists and 3 turnovers (eek). It looks like if you click on the box scores on the G League website, you can watch entire game replays.

It's true - those GS Warriors are starved for shooters :)

I checked the box score. In a blow out win (still going on as I write this), Georges has played 23 minutes and was 8-9 from the field and 2-2 from 3, for 18 points.

Since Golden State waived him, he’s free to sign with anyone correct? Not sure how that works.

It appears that Naz debuted last night, too. The Salt Lake Stars lost a nail-biter, 131-88. Naz played 28 minutes and had 6 points on 3-8 shooting (0-3 from 3). He recorded a +/- of - gulp - minus 34.

I'm certain that better days lie ahead for Naz and the stars, because, well, they can't suck that bad every game. Plus he works very hard.
