Monte coming back!

that's a big relief....I expected it but great to be official. Im feeling more and more confident about next years team and their potential.

Surprised he didn't test the waters more but that means he is 100% solid in his decision. Cannot wait to see him in his senior year!
 
Monte has always seemed like a kid with a great head on his shoulders and therefore I knew he would make a smart decision. I had no idea what that decision should be though.

Im thrilled he is coming back. And I'm even more thrilled---selfishly---that he decided now so the team can plan for him to be back.

Monte has never begrudged not being the total star but I am happy for him that next year he will be.
 
Whoa!! Yea! Maybe it's that his shoulder isn't fully healed and trying out not being 100% might actually hurt his chances? Who knows..either way...awesome news!!
 
Even though he'll be back we probably won't get the preseason respect we deserve but that's fine. Some of the greatest ISU basketball teams were teams picked to finish in the bottom half of the conference. After reading the Tinsley article that just came out, this reminds me so much of the transition from the 2000 team to the 2001 team. Hopefully 2017 is similar to 2001 except the sputtering at the end of the season :cool:
