Money out of cast, feeling positive...

Great news. But just out of curiosity, even if he is ready to go for saturday- do you think they might still hold him out? If he's only at 85% or something, wouldn't it be best to just save him for next week?

either way obviously we'll let our coaches make the call

Thank you for the update, City.

I am pleased to hear this as I am sure Darius had some concerns.

Happy for you and the family.

GO CYCLONES:yes:

Rhoads said tonight on call in show, he wasn't ruling him out for Saturday

I fully expect him to play on Saturday.

It was a broken toe. They tape it to the one next to it and send you on your way. I would hope a Big 12 player could tolerate a little bit of lingering discomfort and play through it.

You obviously have never experienced a big toe injury. It is extremely uncomfortable and takes a long while to completely recover. He will be fine with plenty of rest and not rushing his return. I hope the staff let's him take his time and not get him on the field too soon. We need money to have a huge year!

Go cyclones!

about 10 years ago my mom broke her big toe and they put her in a cast up to her knee. so there can be quite a range of "broken-ness"

I don't think the concern is about discomfort or pain. There could be a danger of re-injuring it and have him unavailable for even longer. If the doctors give him the green light, meaning that he can't make it any worse by playing then I'm betting we'll see him suit up.
