I like going for it in 4th down a lot in the “pink zone”. If Narveson can kick great but kicking anything from 45+ is a crapshoot in cfb unless you have Martin Grammatica or some **** like that.

Yep. Its often against 'commentator wisdom', but digging into the numbers most programs could be more aggressive on 4th downs on the other team's side of the 50. Not just because it gives you a chance to sustain the drive on its own, but because if the game plan going in is to make it a 4 down game from the 45-50 to the 20-30 (as opposed to a more spur of the moment 'going for it'), you can fall back on more high-percentage plays on third down rather than having to force it to the sticks (and this can also back up to 1st and 2nd down. if you know you're playing with 4 downs, maybe you feel more free to dial up something a bit more low % but high-reward on 1st\2nd down).
