Was looking at baseball america and they have done a mock draft for the first round they have the Twins taking Oklahoma State's Andy Oliver they have the Cubs taking A.J. Pollock a center fielder from Notre Dame.

Baseball prospects usually aren't my thing. Especially the draft. All I know is Jason Bay was picked around 10 picks before Miacheal Vick was in the 2000 draft. Look where Jason is now.

Look out for Steven Strasburg out of San Diego State. The kid has ridiculous stuff and could be in the Nationals rotation by the end of the year. He already has the 3rd fastest recorded fastball, obviously since the invention of the radar gun, and has a nasty curve that he can get over the plate or bury in the dirt.

Stratsburgh is reportally looking at a 50 million dollar contract. Mark Prior has the record at 10.5. The Nationals apparently still going to take him and they will pay him. He may not even have to pitch in the minors. Can someone please explain to me what is the Cubs love with taking players from Notre Dame?

The 10.5 million was the signing bonus. Strasburg's contract will be over 50 million but his signing bonus won't be more than 20 million. The Nationals almost have to take him and sign him as they have had trouble signing top picks before bc they wouldn't pay them enough.
