Watched a little bit of the All-Star game parade today. Most of the players looked happy to be there but some guys not so much, mostly the guys who have been to a number of All-Star games. Terry Francona looked more into playing Words with Friends or something than being there as well.

Having been to a few of those and behind the scenes, the lead up to that parade is a drag. They sit around there WAY too long for really no reason. Plus almost all of them are EXTREMELY Hung over from the parties the night before!

Okay, this was very cool. The six U.S. Air Force Thunderbird F-16s that did the flyover for the MLB All-Star Game buzzed right over my house when I was out on the deck grilling. I’m only a few miles from the stadium. Even though I have the game on and could hear the gal singing the Star-Spangled Banner it took me a second to figure WTF was going on when I heard the jet sound building than looked up as those red, white and blue bad boys laid down their smoke trail right over my deck. Awesome.

Honestly though, that pitch to Cabrera wasnt a bad pitch. Little high, but most guys would have struggled with that
