So true.
I moved to MI for work 3 years ago and the first softball team I played on was named "Fire Millen".
As a Viking fan, I'm sad to see him go. As long as he was running that team they were bound to lose.

dang... I really enjoyed watching to see if he'd draft ANOTHER wideout every year in the 1st round...
I wonder if the Lions will ask for any of there money back from him? They should! That guy was an embarrassment to an organization that has a lot to be embarrassed about!
It's a miracle that he lasted this long...especially in the NFL with a "win now" pressure on everyone.
The Lions organization was the one that gave Millen a contract extension a couple years back. It starts at the top.
That does bring up an interesting question.
Since Davis really doesn't want Kiffin as the team's coach, who does he want?
I wonder why he was such a great GM. He came it Detriot with a great resume and track record. :biglaugh::biglaugh:
My only thought is that the ownership finally found the negatives of the pictures he was black mailing them on. No other way to explain how long this guy lasted there.
As a Vikings fan I felt compelled to send Millen a Christmas card every year and thank him for a job poorly done. I guess I have to start paying attention to the Lions again after 2008.
The Ford family is way too patient they keep everyone too long - Coaches GMs etc... You could never accuse them of not giving someone enough time to prove themselves.
