MLB: Miles, Fox traded to Oakland

Not surprising. And since they didn't offer Harden arbitration, maybe that's where they're hoping Grey or someone else will step into the mix.

I also read an number that currently the Cubs have 119 million already wrapped up in contracts, including Bradley's. I expect they're trying to also make room for potential big trades over the winter meetings.

Miles I can understand, he is/was less than worthless. On the face of it the Fox move seems puzzling, but the only thing he can really do well consistently is hit, so that's probably where Oakland will use him the majority of the time.

Fox is a DH, he can't field at all and his bat doesn't make up for his lack of a glove. It was a good move to sell high on him depending on the value we got for him.

We'll trade you Fox if you take Miles!

Don't know too much about Grey, but I hope he and this infielder have some talent.

No Jimlad needed. Miles Sucks. Could care less about him. The fact that we got basically nothing in return for one of the best prospects is just pathetic.

Fox wasn't one of our best prospects, like I said before he is a DH. He can't hit a breaking ball and when teams found that out he really struggled towards the end of the year.

Man, Miles was pretty good on MLB 09 The Show! Dang!

Because he isn't very good?

He did have a quick bat and good power. I know he struggled with breaking balls and didn't have a position, but those seem like things that good coaching could help a young player with over time.
