There is a list of NBA salaries in the USA Today and Taylor makes $500K, Tinsley makes $6.75 million for staying home, and Henrich makes $10MM, and LaFrentz makes $12+MM. Not bad bucks!

I don't think he'll complain about things considering he's playing NBA ball, but he took a very unlikely path. He could have been looking at millions in guaranteed money had he kept his nose clean here. I'm happy for the guy, but he made the road alot tougher than it needed to be. I hope he plays his way into the contract he missed out on.

Pacers decided Tinsley was a trouble maker and decided they would rather not have him around even if it means they have to pay him to stay home. I think they are trying to trade him but no one is taking them up on the trade.

I used to live next to Tinsley in Indianapolis. The neighborhood was trying to get rid of him as well since he never mowed his lawn.

Can anyone explain the Tinsley thing to me. Haven't been following it.

The Pacers don't want him anymore because of the incidents that have happened, so they've moved on without him. They would rather pay him millions to sit at home. Tinsley had filed a grievance because he wants to be traded but hasn't and is in limbo.

Yeah, the Pacers are pretty much retiring Tinsley. He still has two years left on his contract. And when that's over, he'll be 32 or 33. Sucks for him, but he pretty much sealed his own fate with the company he keeps...

I just don't understand why they don't just cut him.

He will be broke inside of 1 year after the money stops coming in.

You still have to pay a huge % of their salary if no one picks them up, then you get nothing. They probably are still trying to trade him but nobody wants to take on his bloated contract in this economy.

The NBA reportedly took out 200 million in loans to help struggling franchises, so they are being really conservative with money right now.

The Cavs could have gotten Shaq for pretty much nothing, they just didn't want to take on his salary for example.

speaking of Mike Taylor, did you guys see his dunk that was number 1 in plays of the week last week on ESPN. This was against Portland. I did a quick search, and didn't find it in 25 secs...so I figure I'll post it anyway:

Man..I wish he would have done this with us!

I wish someone would pay me millions for sitting at home. I wouldn't be filing any grievances.

Now that is funny. Why couldnt he just hire somebody, he has the money.
