The Midlands are coming. 44th Annual Midlands that is. The Midlands Tournament is one heck of a gauge for how Nationals could go. They are on the 29th and 30th at Northwestern University.

165 is stacked!

Wow, the top two seeds for 184 are both unattached? That's pretty unusual.

Also, I've been wondering this for a long time- what is considered "heavyweight"? Is it anyone who weighs more than 197, or do they have a minimum/maximum weight, as well?

Final Seeds are out!
Wrestling starts at 9:30 am tomorrow at Northwestern!

How many other DIII wrestlers are listed there besides the Wartburg HWT? I knew Wartburg was good, but is it normal for DIII's to have ranked wrestlers in this thing?

I lot of DII, DIII wrestlers go as unattached, Wartburg's HWT is one of the best around. He tore apart the big guys at my districts my freshman year. Great athlete.

Sorry, I'm a little uneducated on the wrestling team - but would like to learn. Could you signify ISU wrestlers and which ones are the starters or give a brief summary of how we are doing ... and unexpected wins loses etc...

at your conveniance ... I just feel a little lost reading the results.

2nd Round of mathes are getting going.
Starters alive in Championship Bracket:
125: Nick Fanthorpe RS FR, is wrestling #1 seeded wrestler next.
133: Nick Gallick RS FR, is eating kids up right now. Should be wrestling soon.
141: Mitch Mueller RS FR, is looking good.
149: Cyler Sanderson RS FR struggled in first match but looking good.
157: Trent Paulson, the #1 seed, is doing fine.
165: Travis Paulson, dominating as well.
174: We're hurting at this weight, both wrestlers fighting in consolation bracket:
184: Jake Varner, RS FR is looking good, he's #3 seed
197. Senior Kurt Backes is wrestling solid.
HWT: RS FR David Zabriskie got beat 7-4 against one of the best HWT's in the nation in Bubba Gritter, so not too bad.

Overall, we're tied for first with Northwestern at 28.5 points. We're looking very good right now.

You got a website for updates? I found the live radio feed but that doesn't give me play by play of past matches (obviously).
