MID-WEEK MAILBAG: Fan patience, best comebacks, Impossible Burgers, and more shenanigans

ISU coming back against KSU in FB last year seemed like an impossible comeback when I was at the game. ISU turned the ball over like crazy in that game until the 4th quarter.

Here is the win probability chart from ESPN's model...

KSU's chances peaked at 98.0% according to the model.

I think that was after they scored for the last time in the 4th Quarter at 12:27.

It was 38-21 for the Wildcats... we all know what happened after that.

It is even more incredible that we only really needed 8:00 of clock to do it, not the full 12:30.

Having a defensive touchdown definitely helps with that, though.

I hated that we only used 8 minutes of the clock lol. The vampire scares me enough to know the game wasn't over till the final whistle.

I was waiting for the flag on the long pass they threw on their last possession. It probably should have been called, but KSU was mugging ISU receivers the whole game. Plus it was a nice payback for the super blatant PI that they got away with the year before. Still doesn't make up for the other 4 WTF calls/no calls against ISU in that game.

There was no PI on that play. It was incidental contact. The WR and CB just got their feet tangled up. No flag was the correct call.

Was it really a 21 point deficit? I honestly don't know. I do know that they were down 20 after OU scored and Cousins decided to talk trash to the ISU bench and was a little too colorful for the ref's liking. That turned into a 5 point possession. That was the start of an ISU 22-0 run to take the lead.

Every time someone posts that video (and sometimes even when no one does) I have to watch it. That is such an incredible few minutes of ISU basketball.

There was definitely enough contact to call the penalty. I just watched it again the other night. I give credit to the officials for being somewhat consistent in what they called.

3:50 or so in the highlights, looks like number 4 grabs the guys left arm for just a second.

Completely unrelated, but this video showed up after the ISU VS KSU highlights: Barry Sanders: that guy made people look silly:
