Michigan vs Ohio State

I can see us matching up with Mich pretty well. Korie on Burke, (Obviously Burke with the advantage) but I think Babb could hold Hardaway to an average performance. Stauskas and Robinson guarded by either Clyburn or Ejim. Morgan and McGary with Niang/Percy/Booker. Two high powered offenses that put up major points.

How about next year? Will we match up well with them then? I'm not quite sure who all they lose.

Personally I think Ohio State got kinda hosed in that one. Couple of no calls that would've easily been fouls if it weren't the end of the game.

OSU got hammered 3-4 times down the stretch with no calls.

Unless Burke or Hardaway Jr. go pro, you are looking at pretty much the exact same team next year.

They both will. Hardaway's stock won't get higher and Burke will be the first pG taken. The problem is they will replace them with Derrick Walton who may win a Mr. Basketball award just as Burke did, Zak Irving, and then Caris Levert who will be a sophomore. It's not out of the question for them to still be easily a top 10 team if not top 5.

I think they would hammer us on the boards. McGary would be a handful as well as Morgan and I think Morgan would be able to limit Niang. Morgan is a very good defensive player. I don't think anyone could check Burke and even if Babb shuts down Hardaway, someone still has to guard Stauskas and Robinson. I just think it would be too much.

I defended Craft earlier here so take that into account but that little ****** holds and shoves more than anyone. How many fouls did he have all game? Then you have the flagrant foul that wasn't called which I totally agree with BTW. Also, that three at the end of the first half shouldn't have counted and I have no clue how that wasn't looked at. I actually thought the game was called pretty well. I don't mind Craft not getting called but at the end when the refs gave him a break to give them a chance, they have to give Michigan a little leniency.

Disagree. If I was a Buckeye fan I would be about as mad as we were after the Okie St. game. Craft gets a clean steal on that late possession, tries to break out, gets held, and HE gets the foul called on him? Also, a couple (including the very last one) of those drives to the basket are almost always called fouls during normal game play.

Craft gets away with grabbing and holding more than any other guard in the country. He held Hardaway on the play you are talking about, he knocked the ball out but he committed a loose ball foul. Some of the no calls he gets while playing defense are ridiculous.

What about the three that didn't get off in time? The irony is thick in Craft wanting a foul called on someone. He's a great defender because he is so physical, has a reputation, and works that.

I saw the replay and was trying to find somewhere that he held Hardaway. From what I saw he was backing up on defense and tipped the ball away with his right hand....was he holding him with his left while doing it? The official clearly did not call a foul until he had stolen the ball.

He called the foul on the way to the loose ball.

I think with our young team that Michigan will beat us. Hilton may save us but I have my doubts. I think we will take our lumps in the non-conference.

Depends on the freshmen IMO. When just looking at known quantities, yeah. Who knows what Morris and Thomas will come in like though. Who knows what Michigan will have at PG. It's unlikely but maybe Walton and Irving aren't that good. That would hurt them a little and change the game.
