Michigan State Coaching Search

Ill doubt it until it's done. Michigan State just has sold their university to the Devil at this point. Gymnastics doctor molesting gymnasts, Dude whacking off on zoom, now Urban.
Not on zoom just the phone but your point stands.

I’m extremely doubtful this would happen, it’s just message board speculation run wild

Yep, they could get Leipold for a fraction of that cost. Or Klieman, take your pick.
I listened to the Williams and Miller podcast & Miller said he was told by a source that is close to the KSU coaching staff that Klieman is NOT in the coaching profession for the long haul & 2030 (when his current contract is done) could be his last year. That said, I would be all in favor of Klieman leaving K-State earlier than 2030!

I guess it makes sense culturally. Michigan State is pretty close to the motor city, and Urban knows the importance of checking the oil before taking a spin:

Sounds like these are two of the most likely candidates. However, my money is on Mike Elko

If I'm MSU or anyone else looking for a coach this offseason - I'm starting with three people: Leipold, Kleiman, and Elko.

Did anyone see the disaster than was Urban Meyer in Jax? Granted that was the NFL but coaches don't get fired 10 games in very often unless things are a complete mess. I think even the college game has passed him by.

Of course, that's easy to say several years out.

Ask again closer to then and see if he's feeling ready to hang it up.

I’m starting and ending with Elko. Leipold is only if Elko falls though.

I mean I agree I don’t want Meyer, it would be a splashy hire and he has had success everywhere in college but he’s been out for awhile and doesn’t help the rep.
