NBA: Michael Beasley v. Derrick Rose v1.0

We all know that summer leagues are not useful for evaluating players as they are not structured

Beasley may end up playing in 10 or 12, and having a couple MVP's.

Step away from the Beasley Kool Aide, let's see how he handles a NBA season first before you anoint him Lord Beasley.

I think he will handle it fine...he was singing during time-outs. Doesn't exactly sound like someone with character issues.

God knows there have never been any singers with character issues...:chatterbox:

Beasley will be arrested for something stupid in less than 2 years.

Not overly impressed (as NBA players) with him OR Rose.

I don't know about MVP but there is no doubt that he will be a better player in the NBA than Rose. Don't forget people that Beasley CRACKED his sternum a week ago. There is no way the guy is 100%.

Rose will be an average player in the league. He got way overhyped b/c of the NCAA tournament and b/c he is from Chicago. Paxson bought into it and it will haunt him for the next 10 years. I guarantee it

he's too small and will get man handled, he needs to improve his dribbling and shooting, cause once some descent players guard him he wont be doing that well, notice the 1 for 13 game, btw joakim noah is garbage and his hair is really gay looking

So Beasley had a good game against Tyrus Thomas and Noah. He outweighs Thomas and he weighs about the same as Noah. I want to see how he does in the paint against guys who weigh 250.

I do think Beasley is going to be an excellent scorer in the league. I just don't think he's going to be the type of guy to lead a team to a championship.

Beasley = Elton Brand (not that it's a bad thing) Nothing flashy. Solid low post. I would be surprised if he finds a way to produce any more than Brand has.

Beasley has more of an outside game and scores more while driving to the basket than Brand, though. Brand also has 25 pounds on him or so. They're similar height wise, but I just think they have a very different skill set.

I would say that Beasley will be a similar scorer (numbers wise) to Brand, but will be an inferior defender and rebounder.
