Metrodome Roof Collapses

Now reported as more correct to say deflated rather than collasped, accrding to Ed Werner of ESPN.

Got a friend who's a Giants fan that went up Friday night so he could go to the game. Hehehehe

The city needs to get started on building the Vikings a new stadium now. Los Angeles is lying in the weeds with plans to build a spectacular stadium and will pull out all the stops to get an NFL franchise

KC is on the road today and that is supposedly where the Giants plane was diverted to. Wonder if they wind up playing it in St. Louis or KC since both are on the road this week.

KFAN had Judd Zulgad (Star-Tribune writer) on the air.

Roof torn; supposedly earliest game could be played at the Dome would be most likely Wednesday.

ESPN confirming roof tears. Basically, everything about this game (where, when, who televises it) still under debate.

seems logical, but it isn't big enough

You think 50K would go to an outdoor game in MSP today? High of 4, WCI -15 to -25.

It's been reported that roughly 1/4 of Vikings' season ticket holders are from neighboring states.

St Louis, maybe. KC, probably not.

NFL is looking at domes; Detroit and Indy were mentioned.

Has this ever happened to the Metrodome before? Certainly they've had bigger snowfalls. What a crappy building.

If the NFL is looking at Detroit and Indy, I don't think they're that concerned with where Vikings fans live.

If they had 55,000 waiting to get in, are you going to tell a season ticket holder, "sorry we are all booked up".
