Thought I would go out for about a half hour to see if anything was going on. Was not disappointed. Couple were in the fireball category. Anybody else watching?

Just came back in from trying to watch. If it's happening in the western sky, I'm blocked unless I get in the car and drive further out from town. Alas...an early morning prevents me.

Perseids out of the constellation Perseus. Look NE. Peak should be from 1 AM on, could see at a rate of 1 per minute or slightly higher.

I just checked and saw nothing but it's only 11:15 here in Scottsdale so I'll go back outside in a little bit.

Yeah, from 10 to 10:30, saw about thirty. One was a line drive whose tail lasted several seconds. Beauty.

Where are you? I had my kids out from 10:30 - 11:15 and saw probably a dozen. The ones we saw were cool but the kids got bored/tired.

Way down south (still Iowa, but barely), middle of nowhere, no lights for miles. Milky Way was about as clear as it gets in the summer. Also tracked a satellite or two, but too lazy to check if one was the space station going over.

Same story for me. Went out to a pasture and watched from there for about a half hour. Zero light pollution. It would have been awesome even without the meteor shower.
