Texas Tech at #3...wonder how they are feeling after the 10 point loss to UTEP in the charity game where Tech used its starters. The same UTEP that won 8 games last season. The transfers Beard got this year are a far cry from last years.
Those games mean nothing. I'm sure Coach Beard wasn't very happy but all of those should be taken with a grain of salt.Hmmm I thought I remember Beard getting some good transfers this year. Also, are we really looking at Pre Pre season Charity games on how a team will do that season?

Tech also had the blessing of having one of the most solid and smart guards in the NCAA in Matt Mooney, as well as having Jarrett Culver, a lottery pick. I think Texas Tech is going to be solid this year, but I don't see them being remotely as good as they were last year, nor do I see them making as deep of a run in the NCAA tournament.Tech is a wild card for me. I didn't expect TT to reload like it did last season and I was totally wrong. I also was skeptical the year prior when the E8 run occurred.
As my Big 12 coach expectations go, Beard is turning into a MBB version of CFB Patterson at TCU.
Then again maybe Tech is "due" to underachieve in 19-20.
Right, which is why they’re third and not first.Tech also had the blessing of having one of the most solid and smart guards in the NCAA in Matt Mooney, as well as having Jarrett Culver, a lottery pick. They'll be extremely solid on the defensive side of the ball as per usual. I was relating to Mooney and Culver on the offensive side of the ball where Culver was an absolute bucket getter. Interesting to see who blossoms into that role this year, or if they're more by committee.Right, which is why they’re third and not first.
Beard seemingly could get an intramural team to play elite defense.
Surprised that surly didn't post this one... oh wait...
