What does the early season schedule look like this fall winter? Maybe planning a trip around thanksgiving and maybe catch a game. Hawaii is next year right?

This was from another thread:

11/6--Green Bay (NET 361)
11/9--Lindenwood (338)
11/12--Idaho State (252)
11/19--Grambling (186)
11/23-26-ESPN Events Invitational Orlando
12/1--at DePaul (155)
12/7--Iowa (38)
12/10--Prairie View A&M (281)
12/17--Florida A&M (359)
12/21--Eastern Illinois (345)
12/31-New Hampshire (267)

Gonna have to win the Big 12 to make the dance this year. That is hyperbole, of course, but that non-con is a complete joke.

Feel free to join the schedule-bashing here (begins around post #35):

How would you change it?

We’re locked into conf challenges and exempt tourneys. And no one does home-homes anymore.

Given our team, this schedule is perfect.

The schedule is hot garbage - the only home opponents better than 250 are Iowa and freaking Grambling - but the bolded is true. That said, any home loss other than Iowa is going to sting badly if we’re on the bubble.

How would you change it? Who could we play?

To me, it's just like the SEC in football, they schedule 4 winnable noncon games every year saying their conference schedule is so tough. Well, we are in the toughest #1 conference for basketball, so why not schedule games we can win? How many top ten teams did we have to beat last year just to get to 19 wins? Brutal!

Creighton would be a nice series. I'm sure they're at the point that ESPN dictates a lot of their bigger matchups, though.

It's not an exciting schedule, but conference play will build it up, and the tourneys/challenges make it fine enough.
Maybe we’ll get them sometime in the big east big 12 challenge.

Everyone so bent out of shape about the non conf schedule when we’re going to have close to 20 (if not more) Q1 games. Lol.

The off season is meltdown about future meltdowns season.

Has the schedule been that strong recently outside of the Thanksgiving tournaments recently?

Those were what got ISU attention.

The win at Creighton in '21 was probably up there I guess.

When does the conference schedule come out?

Its been a long as hell time since I've actually not known who we're playing ahead of time

I see no problem with that schedule. It's pretty much the equivalent to F*** Iowa's home football schedule. Probably even better.
