Matty's Defense "Iced"

Defense is spectacular this year, as GTO put it, kind of like people used to get "babbed" they should now be "Thomased"

I proposed that Matty "Iced" somebody.

Corny? Stupid? New thing? Someone already said that? Feedback please.

I like the ring to it, Matty "Iced" Hield.

Agree. Iced sounds a lot better than Thomased.

Seems like every opposing offense has a player running around so we need a chaser like Matt Thomas.
 
His defense would look even better if he would ever get some help-side defense. He's one of our best help defenders, so when he is guarding the ball, our help-side defense is merely non-existent.
 
I've been on the Matty Ice bandwagon for a long time now, but let's slow down on calling his defense spectacular. He is greatly improved on defense but not spectacular by any means.

This. Matt has been playing terrific this year but he's nowhere near a lockdown defender like Babb was

Trying too hard. Good defense shouldn't be such a rare occurrence that it requires a nickname. Should just be what is expected. And yes, get off my lawn.

He is much improved, but it was Niang on Uthoff most of the 2nd half vs. Iowa. Thomas is getting a lot of that credit. He did well against Jok too.

Matt F****** Thomas doing his thing and then Debbie Downer appears.
