A friend of mine in Ames has this Masters Pool that he has been doing for 9 years. I really don't follow golf too much but I need to pick 6 golfers for my team. Does anyone have suggestions??

Also, if anyone wants to join this pool just give me a pm and I can give you the details.

But other then Tiger, Mickelson, and Johnson (just because of the previous champion thing), who else is going to be up there on the board?

Try Steve Stricker. A long shot, but he has really elevated his game. Also try Angel Cabrera. His game is fit to the course. Adam Scott is another good shot. He is playing well recently, and has a good long/short game.

Geoff Ogilvy has been playing well.

And having to pick six another name that has made some noise recently and seems to always play well at Augusta - Freddie Couples - won't win, but may score you some points.

Picking 4 more... Tiger, Mr. Woods, Sam's Dad, and Eldrick.

Look at the season stats so far in regards to greens in regulation and putts per hole - those are two key stats in winning at Augusta. Driving accuracy is distant behind that.
Goosen is always a reliable pick. I'd avoid Johnson actually, just because he is defending - only a few people have won back to back, and he may fall off this year...Scott has been playing really well so far. Olazabal might get you some points, he always seems to be around on the weekend, and he's a past winner.

here is my top 6 :
1. Tiger
2. Adam Scott
3. Geoff Ogilvy
4. Ernie Els
5. Jim Furyk
6. Angel Cabrera

i don't expect Zach to finish near the top this year. Could be wrong, but a lot of distractions for the defending champion, especially one who isn't used to all the attention

The only thing I love more than watching Tiger Woods win is watching Sergio choke. The guy is such a baby. He has never missed a putt, but rather gets robbed on them all.

Woods
Furyk
KJ Choi
Aaron Baddely
Stuart Appleby
Adam Scott (choke artist but 2nd most talented player IMO)
