It does seem that way. When it comes down to sweepstakes recruits with tons of BCS programs in the running, it seems we fall just short of landing them (Vaughn, Washington, Finney-Smith, Cunningham, Abu, etc)

Marvin Clark is not dragging anything out. He was under-recruited due to an injury this summer and is now garnering attention that he previously didn't have. ISU just started recruiting him in January (MSU even more recently). He has visited ISU, Mich St and K-State in a span of 4 weeks and will announce sometime next week apparently.
