Did anyone see this last night? I just saw this on ESPN today. Scary stuff. Glad to hear that it sounds like he will be OK.

Dan was an All-State pitcher at West Des Moines Valley High School and won two state titles in 2004 and 2005. He went to college at the University of Nebraska.

Dan has some strong ties to ISU, as I think it's his Great-Grandfather was W.A. Jennings, who was an ISU-grad that was the founder of EFCO Forms. I believe there is a bust of W.A. Jennings in the Durham Building (it's somewhere close to the library).

Wow - I'm sure he was concussed to beat all. That blank look in his face and the way he just kinda wandered there was every bit as scary as the shot. Almost appeared like he couldn't see.

Makes you wonder how long before pitchers will have to start wearing some sort of helmet or something. I know that they haven't moved the safety precautions from the minors to the majors yet, but it's only a matter of time before something like that turns really tragic.
