I think this was running around about 3 weeks ago pretty wild on the hawk board, so much that he was asked by the gazette if it was true. He said he had no intentions of pulling his commitment.

I don't think he's going to be changing his mind, but his saying "I have no intentions of backing out." doesn't say anything at all. You don't publicly say that you're considering backing out of a commitment to UNC unless you're sure you've got a place to land. You don't want to say you're considering it and then end up not going anywhere. Fans will eat you alive for something like that.
