NFL: Marcus Lattimore Retires

Ugh, I can still picture his injury from a couple years ago, brutal.

I saw it in real time when it happened and no one could figure out what I was yelling about until they saw the replay. That was a career ending injury if I've ever seen one

That's a shame. It should also serve as a cautionary tale to Todd Gurley. Maybe just go sign a few more pieces of memorabilia and extend that suspension.

Anyhow, good luck to Lattimore whatever he decides to do with his future.

A lot of the SEC running greats have been non productive in the NFL lately. Too much wear and tear on them in the SEC?

All the major sports leagues should make it like baseball.

For those "special" kids that are clearly ready/will clearly be ready soon out of high school, let teams take a risk on them. Otherwise, three years after your natural high school class comes out.

Football is such a grueling sport, and there are 19-20 year old players that might be ready for the NFL--just not many. Not that I would expect it, but I hope Clowney stood up to this when he was interviewing why his junior season at USC was so lackluster--he knows he's ready. Why kill himself when he saw what happened to Marcus Lattimore?

Clowney has been a major disappointment in the locker room in the pros this year. He is not appearing to be totally dedicated anywhere he goes.

This is a whole different situation though. Part of that too is that there are so few teams that are run heavy, and if they are, they are one of 2 or 3 running backs.

Time to plug back in big guy. Not making any sense.
