So far his name has only come up in discussions about who is leaving, but if you are like me you want info on the newest addition to the team. He looks like a big, strong, gaurd who prefers to take it to the hoop instead of shoot from outside. He is listed at 6-2 on rivals, but at 6-4 in a recent scout story, so he has probably had a recent growth spurt. He's a three star on rivals and a two star on scout. Here are a few links.

It sounds like this kid can rilly help us out, but like everyone is wandering. Who is leaving the porgram.
 
im wondering if we dont know something about a big man commit or something. we seem to have plenty of guards now with 4 in 07 and 2 already for 08. either coach mac cant land the bigs or he already has landed one we dont know about.
 
Good point Dinger, I feel we need a little more depth with the bigs as well.

Ross, A-Train (thompson), Jiri, Brackins, CJ, WJ can play there
i dont think we are to small at depth there... we actually gain 1 guy next year at the bigs spot

He sounds like a slasher that won't dribble off his foot, and get pushed around. Kind of like Garrett from what I've seen. McIntosh, Taylor and Dunson better put on some big weight if they want respectable playing time.
 
Guards win games folks, especially at the college level. I think that, even though he was a big man in his playing days, Greg has an affinity for guards. He rotated five guards last year at UNI, so I think that he will be able to find minutes for all of these guys.

ok so in 2 years the only one true center we will have is ross. alex and jiri will be gone. the rest of those guys are naturally 4s or even 3s (WJ)

Both Alex and Ross have 2 years remaining. At least one new post will probably be added to the 08 class.
 
Okay in 2 years we will have Ross, Alex, if Brackins is still around at the 4, plus add in 1 or 2 more recruits for the 2008 season which will definitely be bigger guys, we will be fine inside, plus if Cory Johnson is still around he will be at the 4 as well.
 
GMac had to recruit this kid. After all, if he was good enough to start on God's team, he must be a quality player.
 
GMac always has a ton of guards. Look at UNI this year (it is still his team) they play up to 5 or 6 guards a game.
