As a lakers fan, pretty cool to see the League come together to honor one of the greats last games. Saw on twitter a lot of the players from all teams are wearing special kobe shoes in their games. Snapchat has a mamba filter, nike has some pretty cool stuff on their site. Kobe has been having 143k mentions an hour on twitter which is a lot I guess. Dissapointing way to end a career but after 20 seasons and the seemingly endless injuries last couple of years, not much you could ask for. Hoping can make it 48 min tonight.

BTW, story time. When I was a child like yourself, I hated Larry Bird. Now I have a framed Larry Bird jersey in my basement. As I got older I learned to recognize greatness. Also, Lebron already has better stats, bet he would trade them for rings.

Can anyone just enjoy kobe w/out having to bring up Colorado? Thats like bringing up the bowling alley when talking about Iverson as a bball player or Jordans gambling and in general crappy person traits. None of it matters when looking at them as a bball player.

Dont bother, for some reason kids these days are unable to appreciate players other than the one they have posters of on their wall and they will argue till the death. I have nephews the same age as that kid and they are incapable of having a rational basketball conversation because everything is lebron vs kobe even when the conversation has nothing to do with lebron.

I'll bite. How is he the most selfish basketball player of all time? He took over games out of necessity. He shot the ball a ton but he still shot the better percentage. The dude put in work and was an animal on the court. Kobe walked the walk and tore his opponents to shreds.

Counterpoint, he only had to take over games out of necessity because he ran off one of the greatest centers in NBA history so he could take 35 shots a game while playing with Smush Parker and Chris Mihm.
