That’s awesome she put that out there! Takes extreme guts for someone to get vulnerable like that. No doubt she’s obviously feeling a lot of stress and anxiety with what she noted (and probably a lot she didn’t note), but it goes to show you that she’s making progress but opening up about it! Awesome!

Yup she's a big speaker on mental health. Jake Sullivan is one too. Sullivan's story is absolutely astonishing if you ever get the chance to hear it, I recommend it. As a sufferer of severe anxiety, I absolutely love hearing about people's ability to overcome adversity.

During Sullivan's presentation, he talked about how he would always be the last one at practice, not because he wanted to get better, but because he didn't want anyone riding home with him and seeing his rituals. I'm so proud of anyone that overcomes their demons.

I haven't ever struggled with mental health, so I'm admittedly ignorant on the subject. But I did enjoy the podcast Lyndsey did with Chris some time back, and learned a lot.

I was pretty intrigued when she started talking about the concept of mental wellness, and how everyone should be practicing mental wellness and hygiene, not just those who are afflicted. I know getting sleep and unplugging for even a short time does wonders for my stress levels.

I know people don't like it when you try to compare mental illness to physical illnesses; but just like how practicing poor physical wellness and hygiene will result in a higher risk of disease, it makes sense that not practicing mental wellness would increase the risk of illness. I think that's an easily conveyable concept that could do a lot of good.
