Looking for a New Putter?

I think they had those same putters for the same price at MC Sports here in Ankeny for anyone interested.

Not going to lie, probably the worst selling putter from a major company since they were released. Jhudd, what are you looking to spend?

I love my Scotty Cameron's, have a Newport 2.0 and a Newport 2.0 Belly Putter. Don't think I would trade them in for any other putter.

I have heard e-bay is really bad about selling counterfeit clubs

Well, if you look at a club and it says Pinb instead of Ping, then you will get a counterfeit club. I have bought a set ot Titelist irons/wedges/bag, a Ping driver, Ping irons, Scotty Cameron putter, Taylormade 3 wood/hybrid, my wife a set of Ping woods all on Ebay. I have had tremendous luck going that route. You need to be somewhat patient, I was looking for very perticular clubs and got a better than most deal.

Buy from a reputable source and you will be okay. A couple websites companys that sell new/used equipment are 3balls golf and Morton golf. Both also have ebay store. They have some really good deals.

Where's a good place to buy a used putter in DSM area?

As I'm not in the Des Moines area, I couldn't get into specifics, but I'd check out golf specialty shops in the area, ones that take in trades for new clubs. They just go and sell the old clubs at discounted prices, and they're usually perfectly good "name" clubs that people with $$$ got bored with. For instance, Golf Discount in Davenport does that.

I've bought every club in my bag on ebay. There are counterfeits out there but if you do your due diligence it shouldn't be a problem. Buy from reputable sellers only.

There is a good store by the airport, Kinsleys, that has used clubs. Golf Galaxy sometimes has good deals on used clubs. Another place at University/73rd (used to be Nevada Bobs, not sure on the name now). Those are 3 place in DM I would check out.

Kinley's is good. The place on 73rd & University is Golf HQ.

I concur on those three places. There use to be a place on the south side by the mall, but not sure if thats still there with Nevada Bobs getting bought out.

I ended up buying a new Odyssey White Ice putter this year, and upgrade from a 10 year old Rossie II that I had. So far I've enjoyed it, but can't say I play enough to know. For some time, but not sure if they still are, Golf Galaxy was having a sale on White Hot XG putters. A $130 putter for $99. I strongly considered it myself.

I bought a Titleist 905 R at edwinwattsgolf.com used for $90. Only been used for one season. If you cant find what your looking for in desmoines id check them out.

The Odyssey line is pretty good, I used to put with a white hot. If you are a pretty serious golfer and have the scratch, don't overlook Scotty Cameron b/c of the price. It is by far the best putter I have used. It is remarkablly balanced and putts true. To each his own, espically with putters. Just give them a look. I got mine off of ebay for $185, it is the most expensive single club in my bag.

If i could say a $185 club was the most expensive one in my bad I would delighted. I'm afraid I would be kidding myself though.
