Looking family resort suggestions near Branson, MO

I'm looking to take the family on a quick 4 or 5 day vacation, and we are looking at Branson since it's only a 6 hour drive. We have a 5 and 2 YO, does anyone have any good suggestions of places to stay? I like the idea of a place with a water park. So far I'm looking at Welk Resorts. TIA.

Big Cedar Lodge

Okay, it doesn't hit all of your check boxes, but my family went there when I was a little kid, and it was fantastic.

My cousins husband is a hunting/fishing guide at big Cedar lodge. He took Martin Truex Jr the week before he won at Pocono. Pretty cool and I think there is always plenty to do in Branson. I wanted to make it down there this summer also but used to much PTO for kids wrestling and now baseball

The dam is cool. I’ll be honest I went on a family vacay last year there and was pretty underwhelmed. Not saying it’s not a good go to. Just was less impressed than I expected.

Rooms are free if you just listen to a short 20 minute presentation about the wonderful world of time shares. There are millions of those down there. Only time I did one and learned my lesson about their 20 minute discussion.
