Let's talk NCAA sites...

Jerry Palm just updated his brackets and has us as the #2 playing in St. Louis on Friday. I live in St. Louis, so obviously this would be awesome for me

Would love Palm's draw. Toughest matchup in the sweet 16 would be SDSU. I think their defense would give us trouble, but no moreso than Baylor's zone, which we've proven that we can beat.

Toughest matchup in the elite 8 would likely be Zona/MSU. Both these teams straight up scare me, certainly beatable, but MSU has been clicking like crazy lately, and Zona has the obvious edge in athleticism/size inside.

I'm not sure I buy us as the two seed, I think we deserve it based on our overall resume and being big 12 tourney champs, but there is just so much competition between that last one seed all the way down to the 4. I think we end up getting bumped by Louisville/Nova/Kansas into the 3 seed. Hope I'm wrong, and i hope we can avoid getting stuck somewhere like Orlando to play Florida, lol.

Are the seeds tied into the sites? eg are the 1 and 2 in the midwest for sure in STL?

No. Sites are determined in order of "overall seeding" of the tournament being placed in the closest available site to the school. For instance, using Palm's bracket, Florida, the number 1 overall, is assigned to Orlando. Arizona, the number 2 overall, San Diego. Wichita St, 3, St. Louis. Michigan, 4, Milwaukee. Villanova, 5, Buffalo. Wisconsin, 6, Milwaukee. Iowa St, 7, St. Louis. Louisville, 8, Raleigh. And so on.
