Let's just say this - Lee likes the teleprompter. Not his words not his pick. May even be considered a play the other direction to drive action. I'm just saying.
It's one of the first times I have seen him pick Iowa State. I remember last year he was wrong alot when it came to ISU. He picked I believe UCONN and TTECH to beat us. Who cares these guys are so far removed from the State of Iowa we may as well be on Mars. I think it's a waste of time to have these guys on the radio like alot of local hosts love to do, unless it's SEC or a top 10 team they don't really do their homework.
He's a weekly guest on 1620 the Zone in Omaha. (lived in Nebraska for 13 1/2 years, just moved to Iowa this year) He would give picks for a couple of match-ups, usually at least one local, and then also include his Nebraska pick. Two years ago, he was going to give his pick for Texas Tech @ Iowa State, and starts it out with "What if I was to tell you that Iowa State wins this game by two touchdowns, would that shock you?" He then says he's kidding, and picks Texas Tech. Sure enough...Iowa State wins 52-38. Needless to say, the hosts grabbed that little snippet of audio, and it still plays in the segment intro when he comes on.
And yes, I find him to be quite Phil Steele-ish with his "See how well I've done..." type attitude.

Heard the same on 1460. He really liked Tulsa's passing game... neglecting that they have a different QB who wasn't a proven passer. Also, Tulsa's cobra defense on 3rd down was going to do us in...
