2013. Still have the pictures on my phone. Actually snowed two consecutive days where I was for a total of about 12". I remember looking out my kitchen window and thinking I'd be mowing lawn between patches of snow in June. I think it was completely gone in about 4-5 days though.

I remember it snowing during one of my sisters birthday parties when I was little. Her birthday is April 30th so sometime around then.
Late snows/cold like this is not uncommon. What is uncommon is the long duration that it is here for. Usually we will get it but bounce back up into the 40s and 50s fairly quickly. This pattern is going to last at least another week.
If it snowed in june or august I might move to texas out of spiteNot what was asked but interesting none the less:
July is the only month that there has never been a measurable snowfall up here in the Twin Cities.

Agreed. Late winter storms will always happen but the difference this year is how consistently cold it is.
