Lard looks good

I watched Solomon in Orlando. Even with a broken hand, he had a good stroke from 3 (it wasn't at game speed but his form is very good).

It's fun to see Lard like that - not sure what to make of it but I think he's a better leaper than Bowie, SYclone33 or Holden.

Okay. That's exactly what I want to see out of him. How many years do we get?

Please do everyone a favor and don't try to make SYclone33 a thing.

I was just thinking the other night how great Solomon could be if he gets the confidence to step out from 3 in a year or two. You can tell he has it in him to be a very good shooter.

Lewis, McNeil and Long are no slouches, too!

You can see why the staff wants Juiston so badly. An athletic 4 with a high-motor that can create would fit-in perfectly. Round out the class with the best grad transfer ball-handler we can get (Thorpe) and we've got a complete team!

We may play more conventionally than we have in years. I'd love to see us ramp up defense, rebounding, and transition to mask our inexperience.
 
What I took away from those clips is that the guys are loose and having fun. Reminds me of when the Vince Young Texas Longhorn was warming up for the Big 12 Championship game against Colorado in their NC year. They were incredibly loose and having fun. They then proceeded to throttle the Buffs.

The point I'm trying to make is that these guys look like they're ready to do work and do it together.

How is Long looking? I think Lard and Long have a lot of potential and already look like they have a Big 12 body. This team could be very good next year. I think Wigginton and Lewis will be studs immediately.

I think he has it in him to be legit scorer but it's just not his role right now.

Today would not be the day for him to start jacking up 3's, although he's more than capable of it.
 
No inside scoop on Jakolby Long since he's been practicing all year BUT in the summer his jump shoot was broken. Terrible form, slow weird release. His teammates would giggle and turn away when he would shoot and when Monte played him he would yell "He with us!" every time Long shot a 3. Bricked all but 1 or 2 out of 10.

Not saying he can't be good. He's athletic, good defender, etc (i.e looks the part). But IMO he has a ways to go offensively, particularly if we are expecting him to provide 3 point shoot.
