Kobe says he will consider a $50 million European offer

It’s possible Bryant could leave the NBA for Europe – perhaps in a dual role of owner and player – as early as next summer. Bryant is signed with the Lakers through the 2010-11 season, but can opt out after next season.

Actually if you get the guys that are in the NBA for the money and themselves alone out of the NBA I might start getting interested in the NBA again. Except for watching Hornacek, I haven't cared since the 80's.

I wouldn't mind being a superstar in Europe and getting paid. You could always do it for a few years and come back. More likely, as someone may have alluded to, it could end up like soccer stars from elsewhere coming here. Get a big paycheck on the tail end of your career, and advertise the game more (not that bball needs it as much as soccer).
