:shocked:. Another reason the [insert name] Conference BB tournament needs to stay in KC.
If you or anybody else one here makes it, please post your impression. When ISU used to really show up for the Big 8/12 hoops tournament, I swear there was nothing more fun as a Cyclone fan than Kelly's. Just freakin' wall to wall with Cyclone fans swilling 44 ouncers by the stack.
Now, with the P&L District being the place to be, I'm hearing that Kelly's is playing 2nd fiddle.

Yeah Brian Congden (Played a lot of FAC's at people's) is playing from 3-6 at kelly's. The KC alumni association was promoting last weekend at the game watch. Then everyone can still make it to the spirit rally at P&L that starts at 5 with a brief program that starts at 7.
Kelly's is just Kelly's and it will be packed with Cyclone fans. Does it matter what the specials are? The only special I remember is being packed in like a sardine, sweating my balls off, going deaf from the noise and waiting forever and a day to get served. And I loved it. Who gives a flying fondue what the specials are.......IT'S KELLY'S!!!!!
Nah, they relaxed the dress code at P&L and the trouble has started to migrate there and away from Westport. Also, P&L on weekends can get a little douchy too. Westport is still fun.
I have to admit I don't feel as safe as I used to down around Westport. But maybe it's because I am older and can't run as fast. The walk to the car if you have to park a block or three away from the action is a little scary.
God, I'd give my left nut to hit that FAC at Kelly's. Sounds like a Friday in college. Does Kelly's have a ****** basement where I can get $.25 Mich Goldens and **** in the sink? Too bad one of our party can't get off work till 4:30 in Des Moines.

I went to Westport for the last K-State game and walked by a bunch of cops and an ambulance. I grabbed the paper the next morning to find out 2 people got stabbed. I know stuff like that can happen everywhere, but Westport has definitely gone downhill.
No doubt. Any location like P&L in any large city is the same way. I'm hoping I'll see lots of Clones out and about at P&L. Won't be hitting Kelly's this time.
