KC help..

There are a few park and ride spots which I would suggest given the cluster around the P&L. Bus ride fare is cheap and pretty quick. We've done that a few times. I'll try to find something...

Also help, anyone know the closest hotel that would allow cancellations? Not optimistic there are any close, but thought I'd ask. TIA.

Here's a map for the buses. We did the park and ride at 3rd St and Grand up on the north side last year and it worked out pretty well

Pretty limited parking options during the day - after 5-6pm a lot of the street options open up. Would suggest either parking north of downtown in the river market or just south in crossroads region and taking street car up. Otherwise the downtown Library parking garage is only $7-10/day.

KU fans won't be there so street parking should be plentiful if you don't mind a walking a few blocks. Living down here, I always try to park on the street near 11th or 10th and Washington, then walk over. This takes you right past the team hotel (Kansas City Mariott Downtown) which is always a good stop after a win - plenty of 'Clones loitering in the bar after games to welcome the victors in! The neighborhood is good and it's easy access to I-35.

We always park on the streets, south side of the interstate. Might have to loop a few times to get a spot and then a short walk. Plenty of bars in that area also for pre or post game. I like the Tapcade.

A friend on twitter said the exact same thing... I might take this route.

A few years back a some buddies of mine and myself parked in a random neighborhood and waved down a guy driving a beat up truck. We told him we'd give him $20 to drive us straight to P&L. All four of us laid down in the bed of his truck while driving downtown KC. We beat Kansas shortly after and won the tourney.

I parked at a ramp on the corner of 9th & Walnut (between Main & Walnut) yesterday. Lots of available spaces and cost me $12. Just a few blocks walk to the Sprint Center and far enough away to avoid heavy event traffic (on foot & vehicles). It worked out well and will try that again today.

They call this Uber today.

I wasn't sure where else to put this but I discovered a new BBQ place that will easily go in my rotation. RJ's BBQ Shack in Mission, its about 8 miles south of the stadium, take 35 south to Lamar exit and follow it south. I have had it two times now, and both times has been great.
