Weiss trying to channel Notre Dame magic with those black jerseys? I'd think he would want to put his experiences there in the past.

Though Notre Dame wouldn't keep those helmets white. Very mono-chrome except for the KU colored blue socks and under shirts. Kind of like an inverse color version of the NFL's breast cancer awareness campaign pink stuff.

If I was a senior, and had to have my senior day picture taken in those uni's, I would be ****** off. Think how bad that will look 25 years from now.

Never said black was notre dame's colors, but it isn't KU's either. Uniforms are very similar style to Notre Dame.

Not at all. Notre Dame has never been mono colored. The fonts are different. The colors are different. There is literally nothing similar between the two teams aside from Charlie Weis.

They came out for warmups in the blue ones though

Technically, they weren't monocolored because they kept the blue socks and undershirts.

Oh my god, the resemblance is uncanny. I mean, just look...they both have numbers on them, they both have short sleeves, and they're both made of some synthetic fabric. If it weren't for the completely different colors and the fact that one says "Kansas" right across the chest, there would be no way at all to tell them apart!

Perfect example of mix-and-match failure.

1. KU should consider keeping those helmets. It's the best use of Jayhawk logo (in past, it was almost used on blue background).

The Helmet Project

2. The black uniforms ... yikes. Didn't we have a thread about ridiculousness of alternate black uniforms a day or two ago on CF?

"Let's be pseudo-daring and bad*** — but also traditional!"
