Kansas State

The funny part is the 7"4 inch Neck attached to a tiny body AKA Bennet the 5 star super recruit is averaging about 2 points a game and 3 boards. Looks like he was not all what he was supposed to be.

No Billy Walker, what will we be getting from them here in Ames?

They are 2-1 in conference play without Billy Walker. We've never matched up well with Martin.

I think it will be a close game that the Clones pull off in the end.

Hopefully we get a win from them ;)

I'm hoping the Colorado game was a fluke/wake-up call/bad night/ whatever you want to call it. If this team plays the way it has the last month, this game should be won by atleast 5-7 points(similar to Nebby). K-State hasn't impressed me in conference play, although the only time I saw them lately was the Big Monday game when they hosted Texas Tech and got beat. I find it hard to believe you will keep Mike Taylor and Dodie Dunson down 2 games in a row. I'm still holding out hope C-MAC will break out and prove himself as a big 12 PG, but it hasn't happened yet. I remember it took Tim Barnes awhile to get going, but he was tremendous the 2nd half of the conference season once he found his mojo.

Good point on Martin, here are his stats vs ISU last yr:

@Ames: 7-15 21 points, 9 Rebounds
@KSU: 6-12 22 points, 3 Rebounds

2 years ago he had a 17 points, 6 rebound game in one of the meetings.

The CU game was bad. This team should now understand that you always need to beat the other team and not just expect to win because you feel you are better.

Taylor and Dodie both had off nights. How often will that happen. We should continue to work the ball down low to Jiri and kick out if nothing is there. That works for us. Dribble penetration needs to happen as well and kick out if nothing is there. Stick with what works.

Martin had good games against Morgan's zone. I think we'll match up much better against him with Clark on him man-to-man. I think we match up pretty good against KSU all around, and with a good crown I think we win this game by 10-12.

Someone make sure to tell Harris (#3) that he looks exactly like K-State's mascot, Willie Wildcat or whoever he is...uncanny resemblance people.

I watched part of their game with Baylor this week and they looked like crap for about 30 minutes and then turned it on with about 10 minutes to go. If ISU can make them shoot from outside they should have a great chance to win. Bennett blocks a lot of shots but won't do too much else unless the post defense disappears again.

Really, without Walker they've looked bad more than they've looked good but there's no way ISU can take anyone for granted this year. It's important not to let the KSU's or Mizzou's of the conference steal one from us at home.

Mr. Martin has never had Wesley, Clark, and Dunson in his face playing man to man like their life depends on it.

They are honestly a very similar team to us, in that they have a really bad shooting percentage but they play pretty good defense. It sounds like a recipe for a home team win, but we better bring it because the next two don't get any easier.

Wasn't the score tied at 39 in the 2nd half in the KSU/Baylor game? My impression is that the game was all offense, and no defense.

We need to keep it UGLY....

ISU is 10-1 this year when opponent held under 70 points.....

ISU is 1-6 when over 70 points....

Slow it down and value each trip down the floor....

Least Turnovers WINS...

Run McD's offense. Methodical and practiced plays. I'd love to see that. It's demoralizing to have a team run an offensive set on your for 20+ seconds, then score. I'd like to see that all day.

Tell the guards they are on borrowed time. Newbies coming in next year. Better play well this year.
