I expect that for KU's infractions Iowa State will receive a three year ban from postseason play, forfeiture of their 2019 Big 12 Tournament Championship, and a loss of scholarships. Tough, but fair.

"Lack of Institutional Control"...Heck, it seems to me it was everything of control by the institutions: AD, Adidas-Marketing; Compliance Dept......Can't wait to see the report.

Assistant Kurtis Townsend will likely be the sacrificed lamb. Ku will then negotiate like hell behind the scenes, so as not to bring public scrutiny, in an attempt to save face and Self. The whole university is defined by the MBB program. For that to fall would be monumental.

Also, I suspect A.D. Jeff Long is more than a little uncomfortable given the allegations against the football program and the school's handling of coach Beatty's dismissal. They still owe him $3 million. And like basketball, Ku's defense for not paying him is that he not Ku violated NCAA rules. Ku was the victim of all this, of course.

Has anyone verified whether the referee's in our games against KU were wearing Addidas or not?

I've had a gut feeling for years that KU was cheating somehow but the bad part of this is that it will not just affect KU, this will be unfavorable for the Big XII conference as a whole.

Well, the conference looks good when teams like TTU make it to the final four or multiple teams make the sweet 16 etc, KU has kind of been the torch bearer for the B12 in bball. It tarnishes the image of the conference when one of it's members does something this bad (accused of at this point). It's just my opinion but when one of your member teams does something bad it makes everyone look bad. Kind of like guilty by association. Not that I don't find pleasure seeing KU get chopped off at the knees and get some karma back at them. I'm not trying to defend them but just trying to look at the big picture.

Having KU as the face of B12 backetball is a benefit nationally (big Mondays, gameday etc.) for attention and you'd be right if the expected sanctions would kill the program and they would not still be a blue blood.
I doubt that happens more likely it will go the Louisville or North Carolina route where there is a 2-3 year blimp in recruiting leading to a couple "down years" where KU is more of a 25ish team rather than top 10. Once the sanctions are over due to their facilities, name and history they will regain their normal status. Look at L'ville and how they have rebounded and back to being a household name and landing 5 stars one year with Mack.

Meh look at the SEC ESPN still loves them, you can't tell m they don't cheat like hell.

Exactly. If this happened at UK, we would not be looking down on the SEC any more than we would anyway. KU is a blue blood and could easily win the B12 more years than not without cheating. But it seems like they got carried away with competing at the national level and maintaining their conference title streak.
