I know a HS coach who had to sit out a game for giving one of his HS athletes a ride to an offseason tournament.
They'll suspend a coach for trying to help a kid but won't get involved in a sexual assault case. Pathetic.
Yeah, and if the other wrestlers are upset (assuming they were not involved) they can blame Kade for his actions and the adults for not having spines.

I didn't know exactly why, but my father in law was a long-time coach and AD and he always thought the Girls union was top notch and the IHSAA was a bunch of worthless bumble *****. Guess I see why now.
It was their entire wrestling page. They completely wiped it away.

On this report on WHO-13 they stated that the IHSAA did not have any authority to discipline over personal conduct issues. Quoted a Supreme Court ruling that they lost when they did try to step in on one of these matters. Not a big fan of the IHSAA but think this is a RS issue not IHSAA.

Hopefully they take him off the team now as he is pleading guilty now due to the plea bargain. He shouldn't have wrestled at all up until it was determined, but hopefully Roland/Story can somewhat atone by removing him now.

Nope, he shouldn't have been wrestling. I'd resign as coach before I'd let this kid represent our team/school.
I hope more schools refuse to wrestle against them unless/until something is done. It's too bad that the other kids get caught in as collateral damage but they can blame that on the adult's that have let them down.
