JTS construction webcam?

Kansas' stadium looks like it could be a large Texas Highschool stadium.

Eh, i wont go that far. Though the quality at some of the best TX HS stadiums is better, none of them have the capacity even KU does, not even by half.

The Berry Center in the Cy-Fair District (Houston Suburb) includes an arena and stadium for its 10 high schools.

These are the two I've seen which could be considered even close to college level.

I think I can see the cracks in the Allen stadium. :spinny:

By setting, I mean campus being on a hill overlooking the stadium, and the area generally being surrounded by trees and grassy area.

Crowd for the track meet. Never this many at a football game.

What always gets left out of the Texas high school stadium comments is the number of schools who share it. I noticed you mentioned it but most do not.

Can you imagine what 10 big school districts in iowa could do if they shared a facility?

They are impressive though.

The pooling of resources like that is pretty smart IMO. Imagine if the western suburbs of DM pooled together and built a truly elite HS stadium (Valley doesn't count) and have a Friday & Saturday doubleheader. Thats how it works down here.

The gym TCU played bball in this past season was a consolidated venue of all the high schools in the Fort Worth ISD.

There was talk that Des Moines could build a new stadium for all its schools last year, dont know if that's still something theyre proposing

Drake is actually a pretty good venue for high school football. Not sure another one would be that necessary. That site there would have a neat view of the skyline tho.

I love this camera version, how its so much steeper than what it actually is. Its too bad JTS wasn't built more vertical like this shows, rather than horizontal like it actually is. The atmosphere and crowd noise would be so much better.

Yep, there are two things that I would change to improve the home field advantage at JTS. I would have the seats be steeper, and I would move them closer to the field. Unfortunately, there isn't a great way to ever get either one of those done.
