NFL: Josh Freeman to start for Vikings Monday Night.

Bye bye all to all three QBs on the Minny's roster. Josh Freeman is not the long term answer; how many times are the Vikes going to pin their QB hopes on another team's discarded trash? The season is about to go down in flames, and they'll be picking in the top ten in a QB rich draft. Spielman gets one chance to make up for the Ponder blunder.

Not sure why all the hate on Freeman. I think he will be fine, and if he performs well the rest of the year I expect him to sign a contract extension.

You must not watch much football. Freeman sucks. Easily in top 5 worst starting QBs, before being traded, only ahead of Blain Gabbert and Ponder and right below Sanchez.

He has been bad this year, and he was nothing more than average before this year. The Vikings don't want another average QB. (Though I don't think quarterback is their biggest problem, it may be their biggest on offense)

They've been doing it ever since Fran Tarkenton retired. Why stop now?

LMAO. He can waltz in and just take the job away from everyone else? How bad was MC and CP and their backup? Josh has been wild with his throws. Should be some interceptions. AP will need to rush for 300 yards to beat the Giants.

I'm not a Vikings fan, but all I ask is that his favorite receiver becomes Kyle Rudolph. C'mon Freeman, help me win fantasy. Help me help you!

You might come to that concluson that he's a solid QB if you only watched game tape of him prior to 2011. Since the beginning of that season through the end of his tenure with the Bucs this year, his play has ranged from terrible to mediocre. If the Vikings think he's a long term answer they're in for a big disappointment, and Adrian Peterson's prime will have officially been wasted.

Let me ask you this...Who else are the Vikings going to get? The Vikes don't have the money to go get a Tom Brady or a Aaron Rodgers.

NFL has a hard cap, so teams have the same salaries. And Rodgers plays in one of the smallest markets in professional sports. And both of those players were acquired through the draft by the teams they play for. Saying they don't have the money to acquire them is the dumbest thing I have seen you type... today.

So maybe the Vikings should look to the draft. Ponder was a big risk when drafred, and a pretty sizeable reach if I recall that draft correctly. Also, I heard this draft was gonna be a good one for QBs.

Now you may be right that Freeman is the best they can do this season. But to say you want him long term is a bad idea.
