Boone police are involved in a standoff with a man believed to be Josh Daniels, who was reported missing from an Ames halfway house early Tuesday.
A Boone County dispatcher said the man is holed in a house near Main Street and West Fifth Street in Boone. Police are on scene and advising people to avoid the area.
