I have read on more than one occasion where Jordan Dykstra states that he is the first Division 1 player from Rock Valley High School. That statement is not correct.
Ron Kaufman, late 1960's, played his college basketball at ISU.

Deb Remmerde (sp?) was also from Rock Valley. She played at Iowa, albeit for only a semester I believe, but Division 1 nonetheless - although just barely :wink:
