Jordan Ashton now a college head coach

I remember him that season! He wasn't supposed to be in the rotation, but he won some backup guard minutes after Naz got injured and Hallice Cooke underperformed. Sounds like he has been winning everywhere he's been since.

This is great. Winners win.

We talk a lot about the talent on the 2018-19 squad but that 2015-16 team was stacked.

Monte Morris - NBA player
Naz Mitrou-Long - NBA player
Abdel Nader - NBA player
George's Niang - NBA player
Jameel McKay - international pro

Matt Thomas - NBA player
Deonte Burton - NBA player

The problem was after those 7 the next best option was really Jordan Ashton, who was UNI level, not really B12 level. And then Naz went down, everyone else had to play heavy minutes and they ran out of gas in the B12. Just needed 1 or two more guys. Nick Weiler-Babb was sitting out that year, if he had the free transfer and Naz stayed healthy the sky was the limit for that group.

I remembered he came from Kirkwood CC, but wasnt sure. Looked it up-
Mt Pleasant HS
NW Mizz St
Kirkwood
ISU
UNI

Good shooter & scorer, but not quite quick enough for P5. Obviously a competitor too. Good for him!
